       If you know anything about human behavior, you'll know that the electrification process will be very slow, alas.

Frank H.  to  Everyone: One comment about Jordan's pitch for hybrid because the grid can't accommodate everyone switching instantly to a full year heat pump. 
    There are two ways to attenuate the electric demand of heat pumps:  Hybrid - which locks in fossil in systems that have 30-50 year lifetimes;
    or simply recognize there will be a gradual transition to these more-electric systems.  
    By the time they reach high penetration we will have much more renewable energy on the grid.
