NJ CITIES ALREADY IN A 100% COMMITTED CAMPAIGN
(CR leaders residing in these cities should leverage their Mayor's present commitment)

• NJ Cities already pledged 100% Clean Energy (52 mayors; 59 cities as of 8/15/2018) - from 8 different NJ campaigns

BUILD ON EFFORTS OF OTHER ORGANIZATIONS (in addition to the Climate Reality "100% Committed" campaign)

• Join Sierra Club; join the RF100 campaign
  • get more efforts by using both Climate Reality and SC "toolkits", and membership and activist lists
• Use activism campaigns from 350.org - i.e. ON-LINE PETITION to the new congress to take action on climate change

MIDDLETOWN PROCESS

(members of "Middletown for Clean Energy": have found one-on-one meetings are enjoyable - ask folks who have joined us! We highly recommend attendance)

• Meet with Middletown Committee members (one on one). Discuss activities of "Middletown for Clean Energy"
• Meet with other Middletown energy principals to discuss their energy goals:
  • Ted Maloney (Chief Engineer & DPW Director); Tony Mercantante (Administrator); Clean Energy stakeholders across Middletown ( solar vendors, Board of Education,...)
• Gather a signed letter from 200 Middletown residents
• Commit 50 people to pack a Middletown Committee meeting where the letters and attachments are conveyed (give press advance notice - make a big splash!)

We also have a separate initiative with a letter writing table on climate topics at monthly "Science Monday" meetings of Sierra Club and the Brookdale Community College Environmental Club, held at BCC, in Middletown.. We typically generate 30 or more letters per month. (Google for current program details)
