HOW PRINCETON
UNIVERSITY WILL
ACHIEVE CARBON NEUTRALITY BY 2046
Princeton
University is starting with old inefficient steam pipe heating, separate
cooling systems, and Stealth Fighter jet engine for electricity for its small
city of buildings. Princeton is transitioning to solar everywhere, highly
efficient heat pumps to combine water heating/cooling, and earth storage (geoexchange) with 100s of 800 foot bore holes to store heat
for winter, and store cold for summer.
This talk also describes practical, actionable things that each individual
can do to lower their own carbon footprint.
