CITY STATUS: (name a contact; name march "Monitor"; status of banners & placards; status of table and staff?)
- Marlboro: Bill S. and Jeff D had anothing to report from the Marlboro Green Team. Bill is distributing "URGENT- International Event to his personal "climate" mailing list
- Long Branch: Enis reported he will print the flyer and take to local libraries (& Monmouth Univ)
- Middletown: planning a table on Sept8; planning to print banners/placards (offers to print RF100 materials for other towns); ~30 people on Middletown email distribution are invited to the march/rally; created flyer; Posts are made to Middletown Facebook, Nextdoor, Patch
- Holmdel: plans to march with a Green Team banner; also, a neighbor and children will march
MEMBERS OF CITY TEAMS: encouraged to invite their elected officials and all Green Teams, Environmental Commissions - see sample letter which Pat/Steve emailed to Red Bank
INDIVIDUAL PERSONAL ACTION: each person isencouraged to take personal action:
- announcements to friends, facebook neighborhood assoc, churches/synogogues, blogs like next door, Patch,....??
- urge everyone you know to SIGNUP NOW: Take action in Red Bank
- Invite County Freeholders (Steve M)
SPONSORSHIPS:
- Bill S. offered to seek sponsorship from Staples (Steve will pass placard/banner printing requests to Bill)
- Bill S to see if local car dealers willing to demo cars on Sept 8 between 10-12 in Marine Park (DCH Freehold, Route 9 has Prius Prime, where Steve/Pat bought their Prius Prime with 30 mile battery)
- Steve will check with Steve Wolkovitz, AT&T manager - for possible AT&T sponsorship
STATUS OF RALLY:
- Inspirational speakers Steve/Pat have many feelders; Enis will explore Rutgers Univ - Dr. Brockly(sp?)
- TABLES (and tablers) - Steve/Pat have one table; Jo Grazide a secomd
- Electric and hybrid car exhibit Steve/Pat bringing Prius Prime; Steve borrowing a Tesla S to display; seeking additional electric cars
- SWAG ordering for march/table displays (demo)
- Use of 501c3 (RF100) materials on Sept 8 march/rally
PLAN FOR PRESS ANNOUNCEMENTS: creating a small team (Jo Lockett, Steve, Pat) to quickly generate a press announcement
FLYER DISTRIBUTION (individuals have signed up to distribute flyers to specific libraries)
